Jessica Nixon is a family law attorney whose early career has been shaped by courtroom-focused experience and child-centered legal advocacy.Her background in both prosecution and child-focused legal advocacy provides a valuable perspective when navigating sensitive and complex legal matters.
Jessica earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she served as Executive Chair of Mock Trial and participated in the Prosecutorial Justice Program at the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office. During law school, she was also a student attorney at the Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation Clinic, where she contributed to key stages of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and trial preparation. She was recognized for her academic achievement with the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Family Law.
In 2024, she was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia. She gained experience at the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office, assisting in prosecuting felony and misdemeanor cases. Her skills include participating in hearings, preparing cases for trial, and collaborating with attorneys, investigators, and witnesses throughout litigation.
Jessica approaches family law with a strong understanding of courtroom procedure and an appreciation for the emotional and practical challenges families face during transitions. She is committed to listening carefully to her clients and providing clear, thoughtful guidance as they navigate important decisions involving their families and future.
Outside of her legal work, Jessica is active in her community through Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Young Alumni Leadership Council for the University of Georgia Alumni Association. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
