Maya Jean-Pierre is a compassionate and skilled family law attorney dedicated to guiding clients through divorce, custody disputes, protective orders, and other family-related legal matters. Maya earned her Juris Doctorate from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where she was honored with the Custer-Tuggle Excellence in Family Law Award. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a Minor in Marketing from Clark-Atlanta University.

Maya has been a litigator in the area of family law for the past four years and is passionate about helping families find practical solutions to complex legal issues while maintaining a focus on their long-term well-being.

What Is My Family Structure Like?

I’m truly blessed to have a circle of family and friends who support me. My two children are my world, and I love creating new memories and starting special traditions with them. I’m also fortunate to live just two minutes away from my parents, which means we often gather for family dinners at Nana and Papa’s house. Some of my favorite moments are when we sit around the table together, sharing a meal and catching up on the latest and greatest in each other’s lives.

My Favorite HAPPILY EVER AFTER DIVORCE® Story

My favorite happily ever divorce story has to be my first divorce. I represented a wife who felt like she had no options. The husband was the breadwinner and controlled the finances. The husband was also emotionally abusive towards the wife and would berate her in the presence of the minor children. At the conclusion of the divorce, the wife received the house, custody of the children, and most importantly, her peace back.
